And, if 1000 people click through the “I’m feeling lucky” links, you’ll get an additional 999 extra lucky and totally not-needed emails!

Elliott, yes, that could happen and it means something you wrote about is very popular for a specific search query. Something of a good problem.

Since my email isn’t searched by googlebot, sending the alert there doesn’t impact my ranking. If you’d rather not get an email alert - feel free to write a couple lines of code to send the alert somewhere else.
