Maybe it was:

• -The rash of Web 2.0 acquisitions (Brightcove + MetaStories, Google + Writely, SixApart + SplashBlog)
• – The sense that Web 2.0 is becoming a pile of me-too’s copying less than useful applications
• – The general need for Spring to spring
• – All of the above

Either way, the above MacLeod got stuck in my head this morning.
