A copy of OurSpace: Resisting the Corporate Control of Culture was just dropped off by FedEx. The folks in the University of Minnesota Press’ Promotions Dept. thought I’d enjoy it.
It’s been a long time since I’ve done a book review. Looking forward to it.
I’m already put off by the description of it at Amazon.com.
OurSpace seems to be yet more handwringing about cultural change. I am curious to know if Christine Harold offers an alternative to what worries her.
As an alternative to OurSpace, I recommend In Praise of Commercial Culture by Tyler Cowen.
I have the book at my house, so the next time you stop by, feel free to borrow it.
Oh, I almost forgot, I have a review of In Praise of Commercial Culture.
