Calendars are Skeuomorphic

Posted byGarrick van Buren March 27, 2012

“I don’t care about the past. It can be hidden in a separate view for the rare occasions that I want to look at past items. Yet the past is consuming the majority of the interface.” – Marco Arment

“Who wants to see 30 boxes arranged in a grid with tiny text? Who wants to see only what they need to do today? Who needs to see the past days of the week when you use a week view? I would guess that for most of you these views are mostly useless…” – Ben Brooks

Nice to know I’m not the only one frustrated with the UIs of free calendar apps.
